Vastu Shastra For Living Room

Why Your Living room should be as per Vastu Shastra?

Hello Readers,

Welcome back to Vastu Talk with Manju Maharaj,

Today we will be focusing on most important part of house, the Living room. It is the place which provides entry to both positive and negative energies in the house.

If the living room is constructed/arranged as per Vastu Shashtra, then it attracts wealth, happiness and prosperity which all are positive energies.

A living room is the place to meet – the place to entertain your friends,

to socialize with strangers, to relax and to spend unprecedented quality time with your family

In short, it's the location that makes up most of your "good memories."

For these reasons, I can safely state that a living room has dual functions:

  1. It is an interface where you socialize with outside people, such as guests, friends and distant relatives.
  2. It’s also a place where you share private time with your family doing activities, such as, watching TV, family discussions and anything and everything that you and your family love to do together.

Since a living room serves two purposes in a house, it is therefore very important to make it in compliance with Vastu Shastra rules and regulations.

Read further to know importance of living room as per Vastu Shastra.

In most instances, a home's entrance–or main door–leads directly to the drawing / living room; a home's main door is the place from which energy–positive or negative–enters the house; therefore, making home entry a greatly compliant one is of great importance.

Living Room Vastu – Why Is It Important?

You are in a better place to consider and ponder the reasons for having a living room that follows Vastu shastra, because you have now become aware of the dual purposes of living rooms.

I have provided some examples below which will make you consider doing Vastu for your living room.

As described earlier, it's the living room where visitors are entertained in a home; some have positive feelings–or energy–while others have negative ones (Hmm, in this world there are all kinds of people).

Now imagine a stranger, who has bad feelings for you and your family, moving into your home and spending time in your living room.

Where is all the negative energy coming from the guest?

ON YOUR LIVING ROOM!!

What happens if your living room isn't "fitted" to get rid of "this negative energy?"

It spreads to the whole house, affects you and your family in negative ways–obviously.

I'll tell you yet another way of filling your home with toxic energy.

A home's main door–usually–leads to a living room; thus any negative energy that, somehow, passes through the main door, directly enters the living room.

Because you and your family spend time in the living room with each other and with others outside the family, the negative energies in the living room influence you all.

Since you have now read two key–but easily feasible–possibilities of negative energies entering your home, I think you now understand how fragile a living room is if it can not dispose of negative energies and attract and strengthen positive ones at the same time–this is why we do Vastu.

Therefore, if your home's living room isn't as per Vastu shastra; then I sincerely urge you to read the next section of this article to learn and understand all the essential steps you need to take to make your living room as compliant as ever.

Vastu for Living Room – How You Can Do It?

This section of the article is dedicated to providing you with "the actions" that you will take in order to make the living room compliant in your home.

This is a two-step method, understand.

I want to take a look at the image below in the first step, so that you understand the best place you need to locate the drawing room in your house.

Because you've seen –and I think you've completely understood–the bestlocation(s) for a home living space, you're now able to take the second step to make your living room compliant.

The second–and final–step you'll need to take is to read and follow all the Vastu living room tips listed below.

Vastu Tips for Living Room:

1. Build a living room either in the East (not at the South East corner, except for houses facing the South) or in the North.

2. Living room floor will slope east or northwards.

3. The living area ceiling, whether it is nice to slope towards east or north.

4. Have the living room door in East or North because it is very auspicious and brings prosperity, safety and overall growth.

5. Holding indoor chairs, objects and heavy items in the west or south side within the living room. If no choice is available, then use a 1-3 inch height base to hold furniture in either North or North-East.

6. In living areas, the head of the family will sit facing East or North so that he stays in command and visitors are unable to control him.

7. Place the television in the South-East corner, not in the North-East corner.

8. Place air-cooler and air-conditioner in Northwest, North-West or Southeast, not South-East.

9. Do not hang a portrait reflecting negative energies in the living area e.g. war, violence, crying etc.

10. Keep the living area North-East corner clean and empty where possible. Keep some good plants in this corner just to make things easier.

I hope this will bring your family joy, wealth and prosperity. I will discuss Vastu for other rooms  in upcoming articles.
